photon warrior
photon (n.) — a quantum of light. zero mass. zero charge. travels at exactly the speed of light and cannot stop, except upon absorption by matter.
warrior (n.) — one who is engaged in opposition. one who persists without boundaries, relentlessly.
photon warrior (v.) (redundant) — to move as light moves. without mass, without charge, without end. to exist as both particle and wave — inherent and infinite, singular and ocean, all at once.

the word warrior is almost redundant. a photon is already one by its nature — unstoppable, weightless, carrying no charge, owing nothing to anyone. what the word warrior is really doing here is personifying. it's the act of pointing at the physics and saying: that's a self.
and the physics earns it. zero mass means nothing is weighing it down. zero charge means it isn't pulled toward or repelled by anything. it moves at exactly the speed it was made to move, forever. and when it stops — when it's finally absorbed by matter — it gives everything it has to that moment. that's not a metaphor for love. that's just what love is, described by a different discipline.
the particle and the wave are the same thing. discrete and infinite. a single point and the entire ocean. simultaneously. always.
this is wearable fine art built from that understanding — before the understanding had words. thirty pounds of plastic rhinestones ridden home on a bike from Diego Montoya's studio. hundreds of shapes, hundreds of colors, sorted by hand. eva foam. hot glue. instinct.
four pieces, fully covered: a long-sleeve garment with a hand-sewn rhinestoned skirt. a belt. a helmet sculpted around a bent metal ring. a star-shaped shield with a handle, a pocket, and a secret — it was also a purse.
the first professional photographs ever taken of chelle bee's art.
halloween 2019. the first flash of light.
